Error during WAS 6.40 Installation

Hi All,

I am getting an error during WAS 6.40 installation in the Database Instance MSSQL Server post load action. The log file says:

<b><i> running E:\usr\sap\ESC\SYS\exe\run/sapstart.exe name=ESC nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=SAPXIClient -wait

SAP System SAPXIClient_ESC_00 is already running, but at least one process doesn't run correctly:

E:\usr\sap\ESC\SYS\exe\run/sapstart.exe=>sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

</i></b>

Any suggestion to get rid of this error would be of great help.

Thanks in advance,

- Prasenjit

Hi Prasenjit,

This may be due to Message Server connection failed.

try to add the entry in the c:\windows\system32\drivers\ect\services

<b>sapmsJ2E 3600/tcp</b>

if your System ID is J2E and the intance no is 00

wait for some time or restart the host and try for installation.

Hi Anand,

The entry was already existing, however after restarting the error disappears.

But now I am getting a new error, after entering the DDIC user password, it gives an error message saying unable to open RFC connection.

Can you help me solving this?

Hi,

this could be due to SAP System Online. Please stop and start the SAP System using MMC.

Try now.
