Initial Upload of Contracts from ERP to SRM

Hi,

I have the following question regarding the above mentioned.

If I use BBP_CONTRACT_INITIAL_UPLOAD to upload my existing contracts in ECC to SRM (5), how do I define the number ranges for this initial upload, when I want to create all my new contracts (after the upload) in SRM?

As the numbers already exist in ECC, will I have to define the same number ranges in SRM but as "externally generated" numbers? And if so, how do I then define the new contracts being created in SRM, if I'm I want to continue using the same number range (from ECC)?

Is this possible? As it would mean that at some point I would have to change the number range in SRM to " Internally generated"?

The documentation I've read only mentions that the above upload can be done but doesn't elaborate on number ranges etc after you've uploaded your existing contracts?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Shayne,

Look at the following points :

1. Contracts created in SRM always takes the internal number range.

2. Contracts uploaded from R/3 to SRM will be having the same number. The uploading of a contract is like uploading of material, plant etc from back end R/3.

Its like replicating as it is from back end so no relevance for number ranges.

Thats why there is no mention about number ranges.
