Finding necessary authorization objects for executing a WebDynpro appl.?

Hello,

For SAPGUI transactions necessary authorization objects are traced and classified by the developer in transaction SU22. This information is used in transaction PFCG (role definition) to help the role administrator to find out which authorization objects are necessary for a specific transaction.

How is this done for WebDynpro applications? Is there a similar tool?

How do I find out which authorization objects are necessary for a WebDynpro application?

Best regards,

Matthias

Hi Matthias!

What you can also do is to activate an authorization trace for the user using SAP backend transaction ST01, then execute your WDA application with the user, then deactivate the trace in ST01 and then watch it to see what authorization check has failed. This is a way similar to SU22.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

see section Authorizations in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/af/0489ce55002f44a8c927371bedf719/frameset.htm">security aspects</a>, see also S_ICF_ADM.
