Hi,
After the upgrade is finished, a report should be run: COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE.
I couldn't understand what the "upgrade guide" meant by saying:
"Run report COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE again in each subsequent system.

Operating System and Database
UNIX
Oracle
Page 151 ( End ) and Page 152 ( Beginning)
Which other systems ?

Hi Paguras,
Its mean you need to run the report for each system you have upgrade.
If you upgrade your ECC than just run it on your ECC production client.
When we upgrade our ECC, we only run this report in our DEV, QA and PRD.

According to your answer and referring to the guide, I understand the following process to be carried out. Correct me if I am wrong.
Phase - Development System -- Post Upgrade Process.
-
1. Execute the Report. COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE
2. By executing the report, it will ask for a transport request to be created. Create it.
3. Release the Transport Request.
5. Backup the Transport Request ( for ex. trans requst no. 48 )
Phase - Quality System Post Upgrade Step
-
6. Import the transport request 48 into QAS
7. Reexecute the report COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE in QAS
8. By executing the report, it will ask for a transport request to be created. Create it.
9. Release the transport Request.
10. Backup the transport Request ( for Ex. TR no. 49 )
Phase - Production System Post Upgrade Step
-
11. Import the Transport Request No. 49 into PRD
12. Reexecute the report COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE in PRD
13. By executing the report, it will ask for a transport request to be created. Create it.
14. Release the transport Request.
15. Backup the transport Request ( for Ex. TR no. 50 )

Hi Engkan,
I need one information from you.
I have run COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE in background and it has not prompted for any request.
It does not have any variant too. It is running for more than an hour and while checking sm50 in BGD WP ,only the programs in Report column is changing but in action colum i am unable to see any thing much happening.
I just want to be sure that the program COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE is actually running or not?
How much time did it take for you for the COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE to get completed.
Please guide .
