configuring SAP Portal to include SAP Logon Ticket in http

Former Member

Hi,

I'm trying to use the SSO (Single Sign On) mechanism in order to connect a Web Service that is configured with Integrated Windows Authentication.

In order to do so I'm using the SSO22KerpMap Module (the ISAPI filter).

The problem is that I need to configure the SAP Portal so that each outgoing http request will contain a SAP Logon Ticket. This SAP Logon Ticket contains an SAP Enterprise Portal user ID that corresponds to a user in the Windows Server 2003 domain (Active Directory).

How do I do this?

The portal is not configured to work with Active Directory (As for now we logon to the portal with user id and password through the standard SAP Portal login page).

Do I have to change the login method in order to use the SSO mechanism.

Thanks in advance

Yaniv

Hi Yaniv,

how are you doing ?

the methodology of SAP LoginTicket or User Name / Password is defined in the Connector

what connector Mechanism do you use ?

You do not have to set up SSO, but in the long term SSO is a good idea to make life a bit easier for the user's and will enhance integrations of trusted systems, so that you can bring more into the postal quicker

with respect,

amit
