Hi narasimha,
We have many places to implement the alerts.
Can u please brief about the scenario in which u need to creat alerts?
What kind of alerts is to be created?
We have to set up SMTP access to the Appl server to send Mail alerts
For Mobile alerts we need to set the MI thru sap connect.

Hi,
Alert configuration is used to have the system inform you of errors during message processing. You can receive the alert by e-mail, fax, or SMS.
U should create alert category and alert rules to acheive this.
