When I check a simple MDX query (transaction MDXTEST):
SELECT
[Measures].[COST] ON COLUMNS
FROM $SALES
I get the error:
Error occurred when starting the parser: timeout
during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'
I run the test TCP/IP MDX PARSER using transaction "SM59", and get the output:
Error Details timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456 Timeout dur

What does this error mean? How do I resolve?
Hello, I had the same issue today.
I found the solution in SM59 where "Lancement sur hote explicite" (Launch on explicit host) was selected. I changed it and chose "Progr. serveur enregistre" (Registered server program). Then the SM59 conection test was OK.

Thanks,
I'll have a closer look at the other dll's as well.

I had the same problem and in my case this is due to missing of librfc32.dll file which is resolved after updating the kernal. In your case may be some other dll files are missing. Because this problem occurs due to missing of dll files.

If you were actually able to solve this problem on your system, I'd be grateful top read how you did it.
Otherwise, I have access to marketplace and have read the pertinent notes and taken the suggested steps.
The note does not solve the issue.
Upgrading the kernel is not the solution - I have the latest kernel - in fact the note says to revert to an older/non-unicode version of librfc32.dll
Any new suggestions?
Thanks,

Hi
This is the problem with the librfc32.dll of unicode. To solve this error upgrade the kernal.

Hi,
I am also facing the same problem.
At my end the probelm is only with certian ip only.
So we think it may be a firewall issue.
Check if this might help you anyway.
