Transport Management for ABAP and non ABAP changes

Hi experts,

I'm interested in the Transport Management functionality in the Solution Manager. As far as I Know it implements more or less the same tasks and capabilities as any other SAP Backend transport system. The difference could be the global transport monitorization of all your SAP systems.

-Do you agree with this point of view?

I'm interested too in XI and JAVA transport management:

-Can I manage and/or monitorize the transport of .tpt files?

-And the JAVA deployments?

Hello Gonzalo,

as of Netweaver 04s SP12 you can set up enhanced CTS which will allow you to

transport JAVA objects and ABAP objects even in 1 single transport request.

You can use TMS to manage your transports and also deploy JAVA objects.
