PI7.0: SLD - Technical System of type "Exchange Infrastructure"

Hi guys,

We have just installed PI 7.0 and we performed all the post-installation steps manually, instead of using the CTC tool, because we installed the latest SP's afterwards. Everything seems to work fine (SLDCHECK, RFC connections etc.)

1) However, in our SLD we cannot see a Technical System of type Exchange Infrastructure, as we could see for previous XI 3.0 installations where there should be displayed all PI components (IS, ID, IR, AE, RWB etc.). Do I have to enter these manually? Any ideas? As a result I cannot see them in RWB.

2) Is there a corresponding tuning guide for PI7.00 as is for XI3.0??

Best Regards

Did you enter ABAP SLD Data Supplier in RZ70 ?

Checklist :

RZ70 -- five the hostname and gateway

SM59 -- Define LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI RFC's

SLDAPICUST -- Give the SLD Host name

Java :

Jco RFC Provider --- define 2 RFC's same as LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SM59

SLD Data Suppier -- give hostname and the gateway , SLDDSUSER or SLDAPIUSER

Hope this will help you,

Thanks

Dear Kalyan,

In SLDAPICUST -- Give the SLD Host name

And where should I create the SAPSLDAPI_SID program??

In Visual Administrator of SLD's host??

Java :

Jco RFC Provider --- define 2 RFC's same as LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SM59

SLD Data Suppier -- give hostname and the gateway , SLDDSUSER or SLDAPIUSER

These should be in VA of SLD host??

Thank you,

Hi,

SAPSLDAPI_SID -- that should be create in SM59 SAPSLDAPI RFC..Register with that name in Program ID field...and also define in Jco RFC provider with same program id.

Yes,you need to define in VA SLD host.

Thanks

Kalyan.

Thanks to all guys. I will award points.

The problem was caused due to some PI users that were locked on the J2EE part of XI, and therefore they could not connect to the SLD. I unlocked them through VA 's, Security Provider service.
