How to Make use of CCMS.

Hi experts,

as we had different clients in different locations at a given geographical location, we would like to set up an central CCMS monitoring.

i.e. mainly establishing one central monitoring system.

Which can track on the activity of different SAP server (different versions) and different database (Db2 , Sql , Oracle ) and OS..

Hope we can establish RFC between different SAP systems to one central monitoring system. (via Sap router)

So, that we can have an centralized cockpit to control servers (SAP level).

i.e. maily monitoring the Database and other BASIS activites.

i request you to give your valuable inputs in shaping up the requirement and giving the best avaliable solution.

hope you spend your valuable time.

thanking you in all,

by

Raghav

If you have a Solution Manager system in place, use this system as it normally already have the necessary connections to the "monitored" systems.

If you don't have a Solution Manager system, install one...

There is lot of information about monitoring on the Service Marketplace Monitoring

Raghav,

I don't think it's possible to get any sim files, So you need to go through the documents only..:). It's not that much difficult and always SDN is there.

Hi Raghav,

I suggest still you can use you local CCMS for monitoring and alerting .

There is something called auto reaction in CCMS which can send alerts about metrics which cross the threshold values in ccms. These values can help you in tracking the incidents.

Solution Manager configuration guides are available in Service Market place if you have Solution manager available in you landscape you can use that. Otherwise the immediate usage of CCMS will be sending alerts ot your email box and to wireless devices.

Thanks & Regards
