hi,
I am try to install the livecache system for several days.But I am really not sure the exactly process after I read the document all about livecache across the ServiceMarket.I wanna confirm the step that I think about as follow describe by expert:
first of all,we install the OS system and configure environment variant according to install guide.
second one,Should I install MaxDB before run SAPinst? Cause the documemts don't describe when we should install the MaxDB.
finally,Running SAPinst for install the livecache system.
Is that process I thought all right?
Other issue about installing of MaxDB,I saw the sap help that said the MaxDB can be setuped by graphical interface tools named Installation Manager.But when I execute the SDBSETUP ,the system prompt "cannot load wxWidgets properly:Can't locate loadable object for module Wx in @INC (@INC contains:/SAP_DB/76_REL/hpia64/genopt/sys/wrk/fast/install/local/lib ./sapinstall/MAXDBHPUXIA64BUILD35/RDBMS_MAXDB_7.6.00_Build_35/MAXDB_HPUX_IA64) at SDB::common::Require.pm line 114 etc.
What's that possible to meaning.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Rong,
1> Please refer to this link for documentation on installing Livecache
https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000065738&;
2> You need to install the OS first and then using SAPINST you can install Livecache.
Beofre installing LC, you need to make sure all FS required for Livecache, user ids, including use sdb and group sdba are created.
You can also use SDBINST from the Livecache CD
Livecache 7.6 CD
LC_HPUX_PARISC/SDBINST
existing component groups:
0: Server + Client
1: Client
2: Custom
3: none
please enter component group id:
Select 0 or 1 as appropriate
3> The error message refers to Itanium server and seems like a mismatch. Please verify you have the correct version for the OS of the machine on which Livecache is being installed.
Thanks

Hi Lata ,
I am still confuse this,sorry about that.
In our case,we wanna install three livecache instances for corresponding three SCM application.The question is that we prepare to install this three livecache instances on one host(HP-UX IA64 11i ,and this host hasn't no any DBMS yet).I thought the MaxDB should be necessary to install this host in our case.
In my opinion,maybe we should install the MaxDB first,and then install the livecache instance.Is that right?
BTW ,your answer is really help for us,so the award point was deserved for you.
Thanks.
Hello Rong,
1) What version of the liveCache are you going to install? 7.6?
service.sap.com/liveCache -> Release Information -> SAP LC/LCAPPS 5.0 - SAP liveCache technology 7.6
-> "Installation Guide - SAP liveCache Technology 7.6.0 "
< Please also check the "Matrix of released OS platforms for SAP liveCache Technology 7.6.0 " & OS requirements >
2) After the 'Planning' & 'Preparation' steps are done, you could follow the steps of the section
"4.2.1 Running SAPinst to Install liveCache"
Are you running the install of the liveCache server or liveCache client?
And if you still have any unclear liveCache related questions I recommend you to create the OSS ticket to the component 'BC-DB-LVC'.
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

Hi Rong,
Livecache is required for APO.before installating livecache first install SCM system:
start sapinst: SAP SCM 5.0 ...----->SAP systems-->maxdb>central system-->central system installation:
After this path: SAP Net. 2004s.....--->standalone engine->livecache server installation :
