Hi Gurus,
After my installation of ORACLE 10g as database for ECC5.0 system.
We have never logged on to Oracle. Also I do not have any user ID or password for Oracle. I just have password for my <SID>adm user. Can someone please help me with this. Or do i need to contact Service market Place for this.
Thanks
Parvez Khan
The SAP system connects to the database using an OPS$ mechanism.

did you try to log on to database without password with AS SYSDBA like that?
with the OS User <sid>adm (should belong at least to dba, sapsys groups)
sqlplus /nolog
connect / as sysdba.
And then you can change passwords for your ORACLE database Users like SYSTEM und SYS. The password for your SAP Database User (e.g. SAPR3) you should change with brtools, because of SAPUSER table.
If connection to database with <sid>adm User is not possible, you set ORACLE_HOME and add $ORACLE_HOME/bin to PATH. and try again.
