HOMOGENEOUS SYSTEM COPY

Dear Experts,

Here i am performing system copy of Production Server into a New Server.

When i am performing EXPORT of PRD system during system copy activity

the following error is occured:

Currently There is no R3Setup connected to this wizard. Please start

R3setup on your target machine with the following options:-

-graprod1:59595

And in the process bar it is showing that "no R3SETUP connected". It

has been completed 82% successfully.

It is during the database export phase using DBMIG.R3S as described in

system copy guide.

Kindly help to solve the problem.

Hi Praveen,

Can you give little more idea like what's the OS, SAP version.... and DB. If you give details about the scenario it will be more helpful in giving answer..:)

Hi Hari,

The OS is Windows 2000,SAP is 4.6C and DB is Oracle 8.1.7.

Oracle 8.1.7 is no more supported.

As per contract the support from SAP till the end of this year.

So that means R3SETUP was running till those 82 % and then stopping? Please give more information, what you have done.

I have checked with from this command: R3SETUP -gvaprod1:59595

Again it is giving this folowing error.

No it was not hanged it was asked for exit; i have exited the phase.
