Incident, Problem and Change Request Mgmt with SAP Solution Manager

Hi, SDN Fellows.

I am new to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

My client is currently managing all the incident, problem, and change request management (for L1, L2, L3 support) for all their SAP production systems (i.e. CRM, ECC, BW, Portal) using an IBM Remedy application platform.

Just want to do some research on some alternative solutions.

I come across to read that SAP Solution Manager may able to manage all the tasks mentioned above (incident, problem and change request management) better if all the maintained systems are SAP products. I am not sure how this can be realized.

Do you know that which area of Solution Manager is able to implement these requirements? Anyone can guide me to some information or documents in these areas?
