How to Configure MTE in New SAP System

Hello Gurus

we installed a new SAP server

ECC - 5.0

Windows Server - 2003

Oracle - 9i - ( 9.2.0.8.0)

can anybody tell me how to configure the MTE ( monitoring tree element) in T-Code RZ20 for monitoring our server so that we know the alerts from the server

Can anybody let me guide the process ?
