SAP Retail Overview

SAP Retail is a completely integrated retailing system. It maps the complete set of business processes required for competitive assortment strategies, different retail formats, and ECR-driven logistics and distribution. It provides all the functions necessary for modeling business processes in a retail company.

With SAP Retail, SAP has endeavored to model the full "Value Chain," all the links in the logistics pipeline from consumer to vendor. Hi Balaji,

IS-Retail, is SAPs ERP package for Retail business, called as Industry Solution-Retail. like wise there are other Industry Solution are there called, IS-Chemical, IS-Insurence etc.

it is basically easy maping of the erp package in retail industry. like in normal sales we have inquiry/quotetion/order etc, but in retail you will not find thease things. other modules like MM/WM is playing a major role here.
