Hello..

In XI do we have concept like moving development to quality or production?

Or do we need to reconfigure evrything?

If there is any procedure...can any one explain me?

Hi Padma,

Yes XI supports transporting design and configuration objects from development to test/qa/production servers.

It will also convert your business systems between the different environments if you have your SLD setup with groups and transport targets.

You can do this using the file system or using CMS. Here's a link to the SAP Help:

Most implementations use the file system because it is easier to setup. We ended up used CMS. It provides more features but takes more time to setup.

Hi,

You can either "Transport using FileSystem" or use CMS for moving your IR and ID objects.

When you export an object from the IR or ID, Under "MODE" both options will be listed.

Hello...thanks for reply..

I have only file transprot system and it is grayed out...

1)i don't have CMS...do i need to do something in postinstallation or...is there any procedure to do CMS?

2)if i transport using these 2 methods..where it will transport...as it is not asking any destination?
