Hallo Everybody,
I've finally installed mySAP. Actually, I have a problem for updating the system.
I have two separated database D01 for Solution Manager 4.0 and D02 for ERP ECC6.0.
The problem is that after installing ERP ECC 6.0 I can't really access the Solution Manager Transactions( or SolMan System).
In the Beginning, I thought that Solution Manager 4.0 will still works after the installation of ERP. But now I thing something has gone wrong.
I need to update the Sap System and without the SolMan4.0 is actually impossible.
<b>Quesion:</b><b> Has Netweaver something to do with that? Do I really need it to let both systems works?</b>
P.s. Any helps will be appreciated.
Thanks for your responding.
Regards,
Kais
Hi Kais,
Are you installaing SolMan and ECC6 in the same server ?
Do the solution manager work before you install the ECC ?
What is your solution manager instance number when you install the solution manager.
When you install the solution manager its ask for system number, and that system number actually for the java system, so to access the ABAP just +1 for the java system number.
Exp you type 00 during the installation, than 01 for the ABAP.

Hi Kais,
What system number you use for Solution Manager and ECC
For example
if you use 00 for Solution Manager Java
Than 01 should be use for ABAP Solution Manager
and you can't use 00 or 01 for the ECC, ECC should use other system number
or you will not able to bring the system up as its conflict.
And you can't use the same system name for both.

Hello Fendi,
Sorry to repond you so late.
My system number is as you saied.
00 for SOLMAN Java
and 01 for ABAP SOLMAN
How could I correct my mistakes? Should I reinstall Solman and mySap from the beginning.
Or should I only reinstall mySap with another instance e.g. 03.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Kais
Hi,
Is your SOLMAN up and running in SAP MMC? What is the error you are getting? By your words "not able to access" I gues your solman instance is not running.
Feel free to revert back.

Hi Raguraman,
I don't know whether the Solman is up or not. I guess yes.
Because what I got on the SAP MMC are two instances, I think one for the java and the other for the ABAP.
And after installing the solman and using it for a while, I finally installed ECC(only the ABAP instance)
Using the saplogon I accessed the sap system. But I couldn't use the transaction of solman such as SPAM or SOLMAN ...
So I've a problem, because I can't update the system on the later time.
Regards,
Kais
