Hi,
We have a scenario like this.
I)Stock availability:
Material A: 20 Units
Material B: 2 units
II)VB11 record created for Material A to B (MRP Indicator active for Material B)
III)We create an order for 22 Units of material A.
Post material determination we need to see an outcome enclosed below (in the order)
Material A: 20 Units
Material B: 2 Units
Is it possible that we get the above outcome based on the standard material determination settings? If anyone has worked on a similar requirement please advice.
Useful answers will be suitably rewarded.
Many Thanks,
Satheesh
Hi Satheesh
you need to maintain the record A to A followed by B,this will consume the available quantities in A followed by Planning in B...

hi,
The requirment is absolutely possible by putting the OUTCOME-A, in OVRQ and
the MRP indicator is always kept to the starting material not to the last material so that the shortage is transfered to the MRP.
assign the substitution reason to the condition record in VB11.
so when u create a sales order system checks that there is only 20 of material A,and takes the 2 qty from material B.
revert back in case of doubts
reward if helpful

Hi,
In Material Determination Records (VB11). You have to maintain substitution reason as No stock (Stock not available) Then it will pick new material from your list. You can maintain list of materials as altarnate material list.
In OVRQ you can check substitution reasons.
Thanks.

Hi sriram,
The previous mail that I sent was in response to tiru.
Can u plz tell me how outcome A will give me partial cfmn for A and partial cfmn for B?
When I use outcome A all it gives me is a pop up from which I can
1. choose to continue with material determination(available qty is also shown)
2. or choose not to go for substituion.
If I choose 1 it gives me a result of the whole qty for substituted material
If i choose 2 , it gives me the whole qty of unsubstituted material.
But no where does it split.
Eagerly awaiting to hear from u if I missed some config.
Many thanks,
Satheesh
