Material type

Hi friends

Can anyone tell me how to know the material type for existing material? And also how to extend the materail to another plant?

very urgent please.

hi,

1. Uses mm02/mm03 for find the materila type. Select any one view & go inside here you find a ikon in blue <b>"i"</b>, click u will find the de tails

2. To extend.TCODE:MM01->enter teh material no & select organisation data> enter the plant u want to extend & other organisation data---> selct the views

Hi,

a) Go to MM60 and enter the Material number in the Material number filed and then execute the report, the system will dispaly the material type, material group, plant, valuation class, valuation type etc.,

b) Go to MM01, enter material no and input the relevant plant and save.

Hi,

<b>Material type:</b>

Go to MM02 select your material, screens, org details and press enter. Now in Basic data 1 screen just next to the material description field you have a blue button which says "I" - information on material. Just click on that and the system will show you the material type for this material

<b>Material Extension:</b>

Say the palnt is "1000", storage location is "1004", sales organisation is "1000" and distribution channels are 2 - "10" & "20". Suppose you have created material "A" for the following org details:

Plant - 1000

Storage location - 1004

Sales Org - 1000

Dis Channel - 10.

Now you want to extend this material for distribution channel "20". The follow the procedure mentioned below:

<b>MM01</b>

<b>Material</b> - "A"

<b>Industry sector</b> - "Mechanical engineering or which you previously selected to create this material.

<b>Material type</b> - "FERT" or which you previously selected.

<b>Copy from</b>

<b>Material</b> - "A"

Press enter, select the screens and in the org details select as mentioned below:

Plant - 1000

Storage location - 1004

Sales Org - 1000

Dis Channel - 20

Press enter. Now the system will give a green message below stating <b>"this material already exists and will be extended"</b> The full data will be copied from the original material. You only have to select the delivering plant and some fields that the system will show you. Then save the material.

Your material will be extended. You can do the extension of material for other plant also. Follow the same procedure and change the plant accordingly.

Go to MMR of the material...(Generally blue) Information button...

You will get all info of this material..

Hi Ramesh

Go to MM03 Enter the Material No. Go to Basic Data 1 and click I Icon ( Information On material ) Next to description of material.

To extend a Material to another Plant. Go to T-code MM01 and enter the Sales org data. and in Plant data enter the Plant which has to be extend for that material.

1)Go to Display mode mm03 , Enter the materal number select only basic data1, enter you will get the material type

2) For Exteding to another plant got MM01 create mode, enter the material, type, Industry sector, etc, system will ask for plant, enter the plant then it will automatically extended to another plant

1.Goto mm02 and click INformation button-- one in blue colour to know material type

2. goto mm01 enter same material number and enter, enter the new plant and Sorg to exted to that level
