Former Member

Dear all,

We have just finished installing xMII 11.5 Sr 3( we installed sequentially sr1, 2,3 ).

We have done installation as per the installtion guide.

we have done couple of tests as per gudielines in earlier threads and services "IISAdmin" and "WorldWideWebpublishing" are running .

When tried to open the file Menu.irpt, it contains reference to the path "C:\Lighthammer\Admin\Admin.css".

However, the directory Admin does not exist in Lighthammer directory.

Please help in this, as we are stuck up.

Thank you in advance .

If you install an other java version, there is a few things, you need to check.

Try and search this site for "xmii java upgrade" or something, you will find a how to.

If I remember correct, there are two .bat files you need to alter, you need to uninstall java first, search registry for something.....

Hi,

I guess that you have not started the servletexec services. Please start it and check once again

The Admin.css is available in the following folder C:\ServletExec AS\se-xMII\webapps\default\Lighthammer\Stylesheets\

Hi Jawahar,

Thank you . We have checked it and it is fine.

We also did following activtities today:

1. Intsalled 1.4.2_13 from earlier 1.4.2_07

2. After doing 1 , we again reinstalled SR2 and SR3

Still we are facing the same issue. Login screen itself is not coming.

The Admin/css file is avaialble in the path mentioned below:

C:\ServletExec AS\se-xMII\webapps\default\Lighthammer\Stylesheets\

Thank in advance for addional advices.

Hi,

Check the installed Java version path. Better, you set the Java home and path properties in the environmental variables under system properties.

It may solve the problem.

Jawahar - please don't post invalid information. The java home and path properties do not need set in the env. properties.

Poul is correct, if you've updated Java after the xMII installtion your bat files for starting and stopping the ServletExec service will need updated (C:\ServletExec AS\se-xMII\StartServletExec.bat and C:\ServletExec AS\se-xMII\StopServletExec.bat)

DO NOT double click on these bat files however, they are used by the windows service.

You should not be very concerned with Menu.irpt & Admin.css (as a matter of fact if the installation has no issues you don't even need to open up these values , unless ofcourse you are adventurous and the inquisitive types!).

All you need to check is if http://<server>/Lighthammer OR http://<server>/Lighthammer/Menu.jsp , works or not.

Now that you have upgraded java, to Poul's point , check the SAP note on Java version upgrade.

Also it is a good practice to check cms.log (/Lighthammer/Logs) to look for any start up errors.

Dear all,

We are able to login directly to the Home page by clicking the directroy file

i.e. c:\servelate.exec AS \se-xmii\webapps\default\lighthammer

However, we are not able to get in to the usual login page via the standard way

i.e. http\localhost\Lighthammer\Menu.jsp.

Thank you in advance for further advice.

If you use localhost it will auto-login as a Localhost Administrator user and bypass the login page. Use http://servername/Lighthammer instead of http://localhost/Lighthammer and you should be directed to the Login page.

Hi Jeremy,

I am sorry for my mistake in the posting.

We are trying with http://servername/Lighthammer and nogt with 'localhost'.

In the servername, we tried by mentioning IP address and also the server name.

However, we are not able to get to the login page itself.

Thank you very much for your quick response and do look forward for further help

( today we have reinstalled on laptop ).

With regards.

Since you have been working directly with SAP technical support, it is best that you close out this thread and finalize your installation and configuration problems through support.
