ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump

Hi,

We are running SAP BW on Oracle 10.2.0.2 and HPUX 11.

We have detected some oracle errors in alert log file are

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [$cold_qerfxArrayMaxSize()+10976] [SIGBUS] [Invalid address alignment] [0x000000021] [] []

ORA-00081: address range [0x600000000009C450, 0x600000000009C454) is not readable

Can anybody will give me the solution.

Check that you have installed all (30+) patches of

Note Hinweis 871096 - Oracle Database 10g: Patch sets/patches for 10.2.0

On what HP-UX release are you exactly? Are you on PA-RISC or IA64?

An alignment error means, that the data was not aligned to expected boundaries.

Markus,

We are on HPUX IA64.

I found a note in sap ie 972574 is saying that being applying the OS Patch HPUX patch PHSS_34040 would solve the issue. But we were already installed some OS Patches that are superceeded to the recommended os patch.

Any suggastions.

The solution is to install that OS-Patch AND the corresponding Oracle patch mentioned in that note.
