When I try to log on to portal or ume I input my login and password and nothing happens.
When I try to log to portal using different logins a message appears - Authentication failed. User is already authenticated as a different user.
Has anybody an idea which logs to see or what to do?
Please look at note 791649, please let me know if it helps

Had the same error on a portal system with BI Java connectivity and the root cause was that the Guest user was not locked.
By default the guest user should be locked (ref. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/9f/d770424edcc553e10000000a1550b0/content.htm).

I have tried this (see above), but unforturnately it did not solve my problem. I also tried to delete ticket view and then restart J2EE engine. Keypairs were recreated, but it did not helped me.

Thank you for you rely, but the culprit is not a browser. I have tried on different browsers (IE 6.0 and Firefox 2.0) and on different computers. I have tried to clear cache many times and set default values, but the problem was not solved.

Hi,
look like problem with saplogonticketkeypair certificate.
open visual administrator from following location.
\usr\sap\SID\JC00\j2ee\admin\go.bat
provide password for administrator user.
navigate to server->services->key storage
under runtime select ticketkeystore
look at your SAPLogonTicketkeyPair-cert
check valid not after date.
if your certificate is expired, or may having problem do following.
1. Select the Key Storage Service.
2. Select the TicketKeystore view.
3. Delete the SAPLogonTicketKeypair and SAPLogonTicketKeypair-cert entries.
4. Under Entry, choose Create . The Key and Certificate Generation dialog appears.
5. Enter the Subject Properties in the corresponding fields.
The entries in these fields build a Distinguished Name in the form:
CN= , OU= , O=, L=, ST= , C=
Use capital letters for the Country Name.
6. Enter SAPLogonTicketKeypair as the Entry Name.
Do not enter a different name. This J2EE Engine uses the entry with this name to sign logon tickets.
7. Select the Store certificate option and choose DSA as the algorithm to use.
8. Choose Generate .
now try to login.
regards,
kaushal
Aleksey,
Try to clean up cache in your browser.
If this doesn't help:
1. Close all browser windows.
2. Open new browser window (to create new session).
3. Try to login with any other ids you have access to.
If possible, try to login from other computer to determine whether it is portal or browser is causing the problem.
