Error in client import

Hi,

I was in the process of coping client from Production to Quality.

Export process was successfully completed.

When I logged on to Quality system I was not able to find the data file and cofile in usr/sap/trans folder. And in the tp addtobuffer command error was generated Data file / co file does not exist.

When i tried running the command tp pf = TPPARAM addtobuffer "ECPKTnnnnn" SID u18

The following error was displayed.

sapparam: sapargv<argc, argv> has not been called

sapparam<IC>:No profile used

sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME niether in profile nor in commandline

This is tp Version 340.16.24<release 640>

E-TPPARAM could not be opened

EXIT

ERROR System- Parameter SAPEVTPATH not set

Batch jobs cannot be started

Error in TPPARAM: transdir is not set

tp returncode summary

TOOLS:Highest return code of single steps was: 0

ERRORS:Highest tp internal error was: 0208

tp finished with return profl<parammissing,unknown,..>

Then next I tried to move from Production to development which was successfully done. And I imported the requests in Development.

Also I found that the initial requests were also moved to development.

I thing there is some problem with some configurations

Please provide some guidance to set this up.

Thanks

Parvez Khan

Dear Parvez,

<b>I thing there is some problem with some configurations</b> -> you are correct.

STMS might be not set to import the request into QAS (Quality).

Can you try after manually moving / copying Data & Co-files into QAS transdir (data & cofiles folder) and then manually add the request into the QAS queue.

Let’s try and update!

Hi Parvez,

can you please tell me what is the platform that the SAP systems are runnning on?

And incase if they are unix based. I would suggest you to kindly have a look at the mount points where in the Data and co file have been generated.

Apart from that also check out the read and write permission for the mount.

Prem,

The SAP systems are on MS Windows 2003.

Thanks
