Route has no Valid Legs

Hi Guys,

When I am creating shippment in ( VT01N) & after completion the planning & execution , then " when i click the cost simulation icon" the system is issuing POP message stayting that " SHIPMENT COST NOT YET CALCULATED".

and in the message bar <b>"Route has no Valid Legs"</b>.

Kindly give the inputs to check the configuration .

Shipment Costs can be either at:

Header (Eg: Insurance)

Item (Loading and Unloading Costs)

Configuration involves

Defining Shipment Cost Type [Header – Status requirement fo Cost Calculation]

Define Item Category (Parameters for Shipment Costing and Settlement) [Item]

Sub-Item (Calculation Base Eg: Shipment Cost Item / Handling Units / Delivery / Delivery Items)

Calculation Base:

Shipment Cost Item: Leg and Total Weight are relevant

Handling Unit

Delivery : Ship-to-party basis

Delivery Item: Freight Classes

Configuration involves

Defining Shipment Cost Type [Header – Status requirement fo Cost Calculation]

Define Item Category (Parameters for Shipment Costing and Settlement) [Item]

Sub-Item (Calculation Base Eg: Shipment Cost Item / Handling Units / Delivery / Delivery Items

Logistics Execution &#61664; Transportation &#61664; Shipment Costs &#61664; Basic Functions &#61664; Define Date Rules

Assignment of Item ProcedureGroup, Service Agent Procedure Group, Shipping

Type Procedure Group to Pricing Procedure for a Transportation Planning Point

Assignment of Transportation Planning Point and Shipment Cost Type to Purchasing Organization, Purchase Group and Plant

Automatic Settlement of Planned Delivery Costs for a

Vendor.Activate Automatic Settlement for a Combination of

Company Code. Purchasing Organization and Forwarding

Agent (Vendor)

T_code: TK11

Define the shipment cost.

Legs can be of single chain are Multi leg. U have to define the Legs.

Define Modes of Transport

Path: Spro—Logistics Execution—Transportation—Basic Transportation Function---Routes—Define Routes—Define Modes of Transport.

Define Shipping Types

Path: Under the Same Menu path---Define Shipping Types

Define Transportation Connection Point

Path: Under the Same Menu path--- Define Transportation Connection Point.

Define Routes and Stages.

Path: Under the Same Menu path--- Define Routes and Stages.

Maintain Stages for all Routes.

Path: Under the Same Menu path---Maintain Stages for all Routes.

U have to setup all the above process to get a Valid legs.
