how we check mandatory field coming into flat file or not?

Suppose there is a flat file to r/3, the material id should be mandatory in r/3 system? How to check whether the field coming from flat file always contains a value or not?

Krishna,

U wud have to do that in mapping.

Use the if exist fucntion node in the mapping.

U cud even configure alerts for ur scenario, that is, if the material number does not exist in the flat file, an email cud b thrown after the mapping is checked.

Hi Krishna,

In the mapping

1. Check if the field exists using the EXIST node function.

2. Compare the mandatory field with the space using the string EQUALS node function.

Also define the mandatory field occurance to 1.
