Installing SAP NW ABAP Trial SP12

Hi I've installed SAP NW ABAP Trial. When I want to start the application server the system ends with the message ' Invalid Servicename' Type NET MSG2185' for help and the start of the database failed.

Can anyone help?

Hi Maarten,

if your OS is Windows, then go to "start > run" and execute "services.msc". In that search for your database service & check whether they are active & running.

and at command prompt execute this command "netstat" and check for ports "36XX" are in "listening" state.

try restarting the entire server once.
