How to Debug CCM Catalog Upload Process

Former Member

SRM Gurus,

Can anyone please outline the steps to debug the uploading process of the .CSV file in CCM 2.0?

The upload of my supplier catalog terminated due to an error and I'd like to debug to see what's causing the error.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

SN

Hi

Check for logs created in SLG1 Transaction to know, the causes of dump, if any.

Also see reports /CCM/INITALLISE_CME , SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG.

Please go through the following SAP OSS Notes below ->

Note 1043305 SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG upload terminates with error.

Note 950500 Source Cat.of enriched cat.item missing

Note 858615 Lock problem for many products

Note 852622 "Category not found" termination at publication

Note 844547 Impossible to create characteristics using upload

Note 747454 Data enhancement: Error characteristic-category-relationship

Note 1024002 - Error introduced by CCM SP07

Atul,

I thought we should only run /CCM/INITIALIZED_CME once, which we did when we first upgraded to CCM2.0 so I hesitate to run it again. I'm not familiar with SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG. What would this report tell me if I ran it?

I see my error in SLG1 and was hoping to run the upload in debug mode so I can pinpoint where the problem is or what it's looking for.

Thanks.

We're running CCM2.0 and below is the error from SLG1. The initial message is "Error when updating category KENT_MFG_509797. As I click on the magnifying glass, I get the following details:

Program /CCM/CL_SCHEMA_MANAGER========CP

Include /CCM/CL_SCHEMA_MANAGER========CM007

Line 85

Other properties of the exception:

Property Value

KERNEL_ERRID

TEXTID

$STACK_LVL 1

$TXT Value assignment not valid for characteristic GL_ACCOUNT - char. was not as

$TXT signed

$EXC_CLASS /CCM/CX_OBJECT_UPDATE_FAILED

$SRC_PRG /CCM/CL_OBJ_HEADER_MANAGER_DB=CP

$SRC_INC /CCM/CL_OBJ_HEADER_MANAGER_DB=CM002

$SRC_LNO 58

$STACK_LVL 2

$TXT Value assignment not valid for characteristic GL_ACCOUNT - char. was not as

$TXT signed

$EXC_CLASS /CCM/CX_CONVERSION_FAILED

$SRC_PRG /CCM/CL_OBJ_HEADER_MANAGER_DB=CP

$SRC_INC /CCM/CL_OBJ_HEADER_MANAGER_DB=CM028

$SRC_LNO 40

V1 KENT_MANUFACTURING_509797

%LOGNUMBER 00000000000000013008

I find CCM2.0 very buggy as I cannot expect it to behave consistently from one catalog to the next. I have two .csv files that are very similar in many ways only that one uses item valuation while the other uses category valuation. It's the category valuation that often gives me errors.

Thanks.

Hi

Please go through the SAP OSS Notes ->

Note 759332 - Publication not possible due to wrong characteristic value a

Note 768086 - Missing characteristics/data types after catalog update

Note 931546 - Display of the origin in the master catalog is incorrect

Note 926007 - CCM20 Mapping parallel processing of the processes

Note 920537 - CCM20: Publication in parallel processes

Also raise the same query with SAP by creating a OSS message.

Hope this will help. Do let me know.

Thanks, Atul, but these are not applicable to us.

I guess I'd have to open an OSS note if there isn't a way to debug and troubleshoot it from my end.
