Hi Everyone,
Does anyone see a problem with the removal of the XISUPER user? We are locking down a new system for security purposes and want to make sure this user is not required for any specific transactions/programs in the system.
Regards,
joe
Removing a service user may cause some issues.
you are still using the user at the below mentioned place so it is not safe to remove of the SISUPER.
11. In the J2EE Visual Administrator on the XI system, choose Cluster
>> Server >> Services >> SLD Data Supplier for performing the configuration. Maintain the HTTP Settings then
save (hostname=<XXX.com, port#, User=XISUPER, and password).
thanks,
Venkat

Hi Joe -
XISUPER is a user that is created at post-installation time, significance being that it was not created during installation (like the service users XIISUSER, XIAFUSER, etc.), but only manually afterwards. You could have just as well have created a different user during that post-installation step where XISUPER was created (with the same roles of course).
Even with that said, you must be careful as you or others may have used it in various post-installation connection settings (e.g. SLD Data Supplier service, RFC dests, etc.).

Jin
