Access AIx from Windows similar to Remote Desktop

I need to install SAP in a AIx Machine.

Can i acccess the AIX machine GUI using windows Xp , like we do remote desktop.

also let me know if there are any softwares for this.

You can do a telnet or use softwares like Putty...

I always use the ZOC v5 software to connect to my unix systems from my laptop.

You can search for it in google and download it from free

Hi Balaji,

There are several telnet software available for use. You have windows telnet delivered as part of the standard insall and can use putty (google it to download it).

But to administer SAP on unix platforms, you need to have X-windows support (this allows you to open GUI windows on character based (UNIX) platforms). I have been using hummingbird for a long time now and I find it quite good. This is not a freeware, to get more details go to www.hummingbird.com, this has CDE enviroement as well as provides x-windows support.

Hi Balaji,

You can use telnet or putty to connect to the terminal.... also you can user software like reflexion or hummingbird that include an X client.
