Free capacity not consumed

Hello Gurus,

My forecast requirement date was created 08.10.2007 with a quantity of 128 pcs. I have 500 pcs available for consumption. I was wondering why was the demand element did not consume the stock and created a planned order with date 17.10.2007.

Please advise. Thanks

please check if you have any kind of horizon that is preventing it from creating anything before 17th (if you try the same now is it still 17th? or has it moved?)

also pl check if your stock is not blocked or restricted and is not pegged by any other requirement

Also pl check the stock tab in RRP3 to see if there are any issues appearing

Dear Napoleon,

There are a few things which needs to be checked for such a behaviour..

1. Check the Safety Stock entered at the location for this product as it tries to maintain the safety stock at any point of time.

2. Check if this planned order is because of any future demand which was clubbed to fulfill the minimum lot size requirements for Production.

3. Also check if there are any open orders which has blocked this quantity of 500. so that it cant be used further for fulfilling any other demand.
