XI-Hardware/Software Config on client side machines

hi all i require to know what configuration is required on client side machines for XI

As per my knowledge we require

1 GB RAm

IE 5.5+

processor 1 GHz and above

java 1.4.2 and above, along with JVm

If i am missing anything kindly correct and give me correct configuration

Hi ricky,

We are working on

512MB RAM,

IE 6.0

Processor 1GHz

and java 1.4.2_05 & JVM

And its working perfectly

Hi ricky,

we are also working with 512 MB RAM which is performing well. Just don't go below 512 MB as you can get severe perfromance issues.

Additionally a high display resolution is nice to have, what is sometimes a limitation on older laptops or small monitors. Absolute minimum is 1024x768 but that is already inconvenient during development, although it is ok for monitoring purposes.

Also you should use SAP Gui Version 6.40 (for the exact patch level to be used refer to SAP documentation), with 6.20 i saw quite some issues.
