Transfermations

I have a small problem while doing datamanager i created a transfermation but it's not working.Can any one tell me about transfermations, rules and stratagies? It's very urgent. (Using SP5).

Thanks for ur reply.

But while doing transformations i created substutions in tht For Example : **1105 is there i 'm substuting ** is a blank.

In preview i'm able to seeing the change (1105) but in records pane it's not replacing .

can u tell me the process regarding this ?

Hi,

transformations do NOT change any existing record!

Transformations work only for the Matching Mode. They create "virtual" fields that can be used within a matching rule. You can recognize those fields by their name: they are named like your transformation and have an [XFM] as suffix.
