Application and Component Configuration

Former Member

Hi all

I have a application component (component without view but with application) and

several other components with views (but no applications). the view components are "used" by the application component.

I created an application configuration and view component configurations (implicit).

The view component configurations set some fields in the view to "read only".

In the application parameters i use "WDCONFIGURATIONID" to set my

application config.

My problem: The application starts but the fields are not set to "read only".

What am I missing?

Thanx

Paul

Hi,

How did yo solve it? I have the same problem trying to do it with web dynpro component RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_COMP.

Component RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP has application without view.

Component RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_COMP has view and no application.

Component RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP uses component RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_COMP.

In an easy example configuratioin is ok, but in this case I don't know how to do it,

Any ideas?

Thanks.

are you doing this in admin mode ?

Hi Anuj

From a Developer Persepective:

Configuration of Web Dynpro application or of a Web Dynpro component takes place always at design time from within SE80 with the "configurator" which

is a web-application.

That's why I do not understand your question about "admin mode".

Hi Paul,

apologise for confusion.. are you doing personalisation or setting application configuration...

for personlisation

go to transaction se80 webdynpro application .. go to toolbar above-->webdynpro application -->click on test --> execute in administrative mode... now do your implicit personalisation and see if it persists

Can you try

regards

Anuj
