WDA and Web Services

I have a Web Service (WSDL URL) that I would like to consume so that I can retrieve data to be displayed in my Web Dynpro application. Can I access a Web Service using Web Dynpro for ABAP or must I use Web Dynpro for Java? Please point me to any documentation if possible.

The links were very help in learning how to consume a web service in the ABAP Workbench. Is there any documentation on how to connect to the web service in a web dynpro for abap application?
