Problem with WS14000086 worrkflow

Hello Experts,

I am facing a problem with a workflow. I have activated a standard workflow WS14000086 for "no approval on Contract Release". But when releasing the contract the status remains as "awaiting approval".

I have made all the standard settings and start conditions for this workflow. On testing this workflow using Tcode SWDD, message stating: ”Error while creating a work item 65610”.

Can somebody throw some light on this issue

Hi,

See the foll notes:

Note 626394 - SRM3.0: Enhancing start conditions for contract

Note 638481 - SRM 3.0 default Customizing for PO and contract workflow

Also test the WF in SWUD and see what error log you can see. Also have you activated the start conditions for this WF?If yes, check that.

Hi Khan,

I did the same, the log goes like this:

1) "Green" (Sub) Workflow created : No Errors

2) "Green" Workitem Submitted for execution: No Errors

3) "RED" Exception Occurred : Error when starting work item 000000006507

Hope this helps you in understanding the issue.

I have maintained the start conditions for the this work flow

We are using SRM 5.0 with SP9.

Hi,

1. GOTO Transaction SWUD

2. enter workflow WS14000086, press enter

3. execute 'Test environment'

4. check 'Including subworkflows'

5. execute 'Consistency check for components'

If there are no errors for this workflow then the problem

should be resolved.

Else.

In the workflow builder (SWDD) use the navigation Area to check every workflow.Double click in each step, if the step had a subworkflow, then open the subworhflow, checked it, and if it appeared the same error use the function module for the subworkflow.

i.e

USE TRX SWDD.

Enter Workflow ex: WS14000086.

Select Header button (Hat)

Select Tab "Version-Dependent" (Header Tab)

Select Tab "Reviewer" (Sub Tab)

Check subworkflow: ex WS14000084

Goto TRX SE37

Enter Function Module: SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999

Press: <F8> or execute

Enter Subworkflow : WS14000084 in Field IM_Task

Press: <F8> or execute

HTH.

Hi,

Are you sure the concerned person who is working with the contract has required authority to release?

can you please check for authority of the user.

Hi,

Thanks for the Info.

I did the workflow diagnosis for WS1400086 using

SWUD>'Test environment'>'Including subworkflows'-->'Consistency check for components'

I got an error for task WS1400085 " Workflow defnition doesnt exist".

Hi Amith,

Please give me more details from the workflow log.

You have to use the transaction 'SWI6' for getting the workflow log.

1.Get the GUID of the contract from the transaction 'BBP_PD' (or) with the function module 'BBP_PD_CTR_GETDETAIL'.

2.in the transaction 'SWI6' enter object type for contract ( you can find through search help) and then enter contract GUID , and find the complete workflow log.

3) if there are RED errors in the workflow log , let me know in detail of what is the error you see.
