I've noticed that Web Dynpro automatically creates a Resource .properties file under gen_wdp/packages/<my package>/wdp and names it something like Resource<Application_Name>.properties. Mine also creates a second english version Resource<Application_Name>_en.properties.
For example my AgentMaintenance application creates gen_wdp/com/mycompany/mypackage/wdp/ResourceAgentMaintenance_en.properties file.
My question is this, can I create a copy of that file, rename it (i.e. ResourceAgentMaintenance_de.properties) and then import that to have my application labels show in German?
Nevermind, I discovered that I don't have to import it at all, once I create a copy with the appropriate filename, it automatically gets imported and used. Nice.
Now onto the data values.
