CCMS Monitoring and Solution Manager

I am running SAP Netweaver 7.0 SP10 -

I am in the process of configuring my CCMS Monitioring Architecture and am having the following issues:

1. I have a double stack system (ABAP & JAVA) - I am using the SAPCCMSR -J2EE agent and SAPOSCOL to Push/Collect data back to my Central System.

I cannot get the SAPCCMSR Agent to run in the same working directory of my SAPOSCOL. I tried to use the PF=Path -SAPOSCOL.PFL but when I try to start SAPOSCOL -l pf=path/saposcol.pfl it tell me the line in the profile is too long. I cannot find a fix to this. The documentation states that if you are running a ccms agent with SAPOSCOL the agent should be in a folder in the working directory of SAPOSCOL.

Also - Do I need to install the SAPCCM4x agent if I am running SAPCCMSR - Double Stack Systems (ABAP&JAVA)?

Thanks for any help.

Hello Jonathan,

The operating system collector SAPOsCol is a stand-alone program that runs in the operating system background. It runs independently of SAPinstances exactly once per host.Saposcol is not Unicode-dependent, so it makes no difference to download it from Unicode or Non-unicode directory on Service Market Place. The highest available saposcol version can always be used backwards.

SAPOSCOL should always be started with root permissions, to be able to collect all the OS statistics (notes #19227 and #726094).

"Please be aware that for all systems with a 71X and 72X kernel we only do have one monitor segment in which the ABAP and JAVA monitor structure and monitor data is stored and because of this the SAPCCMSR -j2ee agent is not needed anymore.

Actually it is forbidden to start the SAPCCMSR -j2ee agent on systems with a 71X and 72X kernel because this will destroy the shared memory monitoring segment."

I would like to suggest some dokumentation:
