Hi,
Please read the rules of engagement before you post.
Step 1: Finding An Answer
Rule number one: Try to find the answer first. There are tons of resources out there, show that you have tried to find the answer. A question that shows that the person is willing to try and help themselves is more likely to be answered than one which simply demands information. Tell us what you have done to try and solve the problem yourself - often we can learn from that too!
Search the forums, the articles, the blog posts and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) in the Wiki for your topic.

Interface is making 2 different system interact, which can be refered to say data being pulled from Taxware in SAP. Here Taxware is a separate tool which calculates Taxes in US (not only for US, but also export purpose).
Similarly, we may take an initial Return delivery in SAP, but send the same for service management to Datasweep which is an external tool & once the material is repaired then brought back tio stock & returned to customer.
ADN is an external tool to SAP which consist the functionality for creating Material master partially along with automatic creation of Project, work centre, routing & so on & the same is pulled into SAP.
The above are some of the example of Interface of SAP with extermal tools.

Rajesh Banka

An interface defines the communication boundary between two entities, such as a piece of software, a hardware device, or a user. It generally refers to an abstraction that an entity provides of itself to the outside. This separates the methods of external communication from internal operation, and allows it to be internally modified without affecting the way outside entities interact with it, as well as provide multiple abstractions of itself. It may also provide a means of translation between entities which do not speak the same language. Because interfaces are a form of indirection, some additional overhead is incurred versus direct communication.
The interface between a human and a computer is called a user interface. Interfaces between hardware components are physical interfaces.
The interface between you and the question you obviously could have found the answer to elsewhere, besides posting this kind of question in this forum, is called an "indirect mental abstraction" interface, (this usually has a lot of issues)
