Solman 4.0 SPS12 Charm

Hi All,

I am implementing Charm and am having a problem in solar_project_admin. I have setup STMS and been through the IMG. In solar_project_admin on the System Landscape Tab, I have no Change Requests tab where I can activate charm for a project. Any suggestions?

Hi Salpi, Thanks for the help. I found a problem with a trust between Solman and one satellite. I have resolved the trust issue, but still cannot refresh the project in Solar_Project_Admin. I get a sychronization error. Is there a log I can look at for sync errors?

Hi John,

glad you resolved the other issue.

go to SLG1, you can see all the errors there.

I am sorry, yes I can now see the tab, but have not made any progress. /twmflow/cmsconf is still empty.

I can enable change request management for a project, but cannot create a task list. I guess I have many problems.

I've had that issue in the past, you can't create the Task list because your project is not synchronized.

Here are couple of things you should be looking into.

Very important that whatever systems/clients you have in your transport route is in your logical component under the proper roles. once this is done, go to solar_project_admin in your project and go to system landscape and make sure that you see all the roles from all your logival components that you have assigned. most of the time, you have to click on the Roles button at the bottom and include them in the columns.

Also, make sure that all the RFC connections are created dor the systems/clients that you have in your logical component. you can do this in SMSY.

try to refresh the project from the change request tab.

let me know if you can advance or if you have any error messages.

Hi Salpi,

I am not referring to a third problem. The first two problems still exist, still unresolved.

Hi John,

are you able to see the Change request tab in your project?

when you execute transaction CHARM_CREATE, do you still get the following error: "Subject profile category does not exist" (system error)?

For the "Project Request" not to be available that means you are able to go past the previous system error you had and are able to create a charm document which brings us to the 3rd problem.

Please give me detailed example of your steps so I can help you with the last issue.

Regards

Salpi,

The line IB SDCR0001 0030 Project Request SDPR was not there. I added manually, however the short text "Project Request" is not displayed. Still unresolved.

the initial 2 problems you had in this posting is solved.

Now you are referring to a third problem.

Thanks Salpi,

I now have the change request tab. Unfortunately I still have some issues.

When I execute transaction CHARM_CREATE I get error, "Subject profile category does not exist" (system error).

In /TMWFLOW/CMSCONF - I don't see any projects even though I have created projects and enabled for change management.

Hi John,

let's see if you have the following settings:

Go to SPRO, and follow this path:

SAP Solution Manager > Configuration > Scenario-Specific Settings > Change Request Management > Extended Configuration > Change Transaction > Transaction Types > Make Settings for Change Transaction Types

click on <b>Make Settings for Change Transaction Types</b>, select <b>SDCR</b> and double-click on <b>Copy Control Rules</b>.

you should see all of the following:

<b>Catalog, Code Group, Code, Short text for Code, TP Type,</b>

IB IMPLMNTN 0020 Development (Implementation) SDMI

IB IMPLMNTN 0040 Administration (Implementation) SDAD

IB SDCR0001 0010 Urgent Correction (Maintenance) SDHF

IB SDCR0001 0020 Normal Correction (Maintenance) SDMI

IB SDCR0001 0030 Project Request SDPR

IB SDCR0001 0040 Administration (Maintenance) SDAD

IB TEMPLATE 0020 Development Activity (Template) SDMI

IB TEMPLATE 0040 Administration (Template) SDAD

IB UPGRADE 0020 Development Activity (Upgrade) SDMI

IB UPGRADE 0040 Administration (Upgrade) SDAD

Verify if you have these entries.

Let me know if this helped.

Hi Prakhar,

Number 2 was completed, and I added the entry in SM30.

I still don't have the tab Change Requests in my projects.

Hi John,

In spro, go to Activate Integration with Change Request Management > Integration Solution Manager.

You should have the following entry:

Appl: Change Request Management

RFC Destination: NONE

This should solve your issue.

Salpi,

I don't see "BUS2000116 Service Process". I only have Service Process and it does have the entry "SDCR00001" in the subject field.

Ok, something else to check.

Go to SPRO, and follow this path:

SAP Solution Manager > Configuration > Scenario-Specific Settings > Change Request Management > Extended Configuration > Change Transaction > Transaction Types > Define Transaction Types.

In <b>Define Transaction Type</b>, select <b>SDCR</b> and double-click on <b>Assignment of Business Transaction Categories</b>. Select <b>BUS2000116 Service Process</b> and then double-click on <b>Customizing header</b>.

Do you have <b>SDCR00001</b> in the Subject Field?

Let me know if this helped,

My BCOS_CUST table is missing the last two entries.

CHARM_DEST

W

NONE

Hi John,

In the BCOS_CUST table, you should have 2 entries:

1)

CHARM_DEST

W

NONE

CUST620

1.0

2)

OSS_MSG

W

NONE

CUST610

1.0

Do you have these entries?

In addition to the change request tab (I have implemented Note 1058898 to no avail), when I execute transaction CHARM_CREATE I get error, "Subject profile category does not exist" (system error). Help!

Hi John,

you are probably not in the client that is activated for ChaRM.

Go to SE16 to this table /TMWFLOW/SMICONF

and see what is the client that is in the SID field. If it's not the same that means that you aer logged in the wrong client and the Change request tab will be hidden.

You should be doing all ChaRM activities in the client that is in this table.

Let me know if this helped.
