SAP Services doesnot start and terminates unexpectedly

Hello everyone,

In my Solman 4.0 server ,there are two services SAPSMD_00 and SAPSMD_01 ,they give following werror message while start up :

<b>Could not start SAPSMD_00 and SAPSMD_01 on local computer

Error 1067 : The process terminated unexpectedly .</b>

Plz revert why is this error occuring and how to resolve it. Requested to revert at earliest as this is very urgent .

Hello, this is a very generic error message

Can you look in the work directory under /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/work to see if there are any files that contain more information

Look for trace files in work directory and the startup log (and post them if you still need help).

Hi,

This is OS specific error. which version of Windows you are running on you may need to apply SPs to your windows.

also check eventlog for more details.

also lookout for the permissions of corresponding the folder /usr/sap...
