dear SAP soldiers

if i activate plants abroad, then this will be activated for all company codes within the same client.

Is there a way to activate plants abroad only for company code 1000 for example and not for company code 2000?

Is there an OSS note for this.

please go to SPRO - financial accounting - financial accounting global settings -tax on sales and purchases - basic settings - plants abroad - activate plants abroad

two sales organisations can have one common plant but how one plant can be assigned to 2 company codes?

Its not practical at all...

plants abroad is activated when a company code has different VAT numbers over Europe. See oss notes 63103 for example, gives more explanation on plants abroad functionality Dude.

Hey Dude,

What do you mean by activation of plant as I have never come across such things as SAP SD consultant. Further Plant is nothing but physical or logical representation of company code. And that’s why we can assign any plant to only one company code.

A plant can’t be assigned to more than one company code.

So, Please make it more clear to us that what do you mean when you say that you are activating plant for clients.
