Repository modify without unload

Dear MDM Experts,

is it possible to modify repository without unload? It would be useful by modify of productive MDM system. Eg. I would like to rename a field or add a port. How can I do this that way that users' work isn't disturbed?

Hi Adam,

you need to unload the repository in order to modify a field or add a port.

You can just advice users that temporary service is not available.

Hi Adam ,

Change in repository can not happen without unloading .

Please remember that changes in consol eis not small exercise while already in Production . You need to consider a lot of things before changes . For your ex of changing field , you need to change import maps as well syndicator maps .

Then testing will also take its time . Customer have to approve all these efforts , so he will be knowing in advance that repository will not be avaialble during that time . However , its advisable that this exercise can be done on weekend if possible .
