SAP Portal doesn't start

Hi all experts,

I have SAP Portal 6.0 instaled (version 2004), and doesn't start well.

In the MMC, jcontrol.exe always appear in yellow with status initial.

My User data source, UME, is connected to SAP ECC 6

In the logs, I can read this:

- Step 1:

com.sap.engine.services.monitor.mbeans.Monitor

Timeout Service Synchronous Internal Thread

monitor /Services/WebDynpro/General Information/Configuration was removed due to failure during data collection

- Step 2:

com.sap.security.portal.service.usermanagement

/System/Securiry/Usermanagement

Initialisation of datasource accesing the PCD for role information failed

- Step 3:

com.sap.security.portal.service.usermanagement

com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.usermanagement.persistence.pcd.GLRolePersistence

Initialisation of GLRolePersistence failed.

javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: PCD could not be found in context

My dataSourceConfiguration_PCDRoles.xml and its configuration in configtool is OK.

I think my problem is in Step nº1, which I don't know how to solve. Steps 2 & 3 are the consecuence of a bad configuration in Step 1.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

Alberto.

Hi Alberto,

It seems My dataSourceConfiguration_PCDRoles.xml is the problem. When SAPECC6 is your data source why don't you try to change data source to abap and give a restart.

Regards,

Hari.

Hi Hariprasad,

"why don't you try to change data source to abap and give a restart."

Which datasource? For the roles?

Thanks!
