WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET and WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT

Hi,

Can somebody throw an insight on the above parameters?

We are using the custom stylesheets without integrating into the portal with help of sap-ep-themeroot.

so now for eg. the url is : http://testshop?sap-ep-themeroot=mycss

however that works fine but we wouldn't like to display it in URL. Can that be achieved with WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET?

On right click, I see options to view more Field help can that be disabled by the parameter WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT?

Thanks,

Dharmi

Hi,

from the SP13 documentation (soon on the help portal):

WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT

The display of the extended help is deactivated by default. For selected individual fields you can reactivate the F1 help

Deactivating F1 Help

By default the data element documentation, if available, is displayed when the help mode is activated. You can however deactivate the display of data element documentation and define exceptions for individual fields. The application parameter WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT is provided for this purpose.

If this parameter is set to X and the toggle Display Note to Full Data Element Documentation is activated in addition to the options with Help Text for Mouse-Over and From the Data Element for the property explanation of a specific field, the text Right Mouse Button for More is displayed in brackets after the information text. Using the right mouse button and More Field Help the relevant data element documentation is displayed.

WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET

The Web Dynpro framework automatically compares the versions of the portal and Web Dynpro for ABAP style sheets. If the Web Dynpro for ABAP has a newer version, the WDA style sheet is used. This avoids unattractive rendering and JavaScript errors. Bear in mind that any customer branding will be lost. You can deactivate this behavior again using the WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET application parameter.

More information: SAP Note 1033496.

Hi Heidi,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

ABAP WD is SP12. The parameter WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT is set to X but still the help isn't deactivated. Would this parameter deliver the desired results after SP13 or am I missing something?

Is there a posibility to not display the sap-ep-themeroot in the URL and still make use of the custom CSS?

Regards,

Dharmi
