Hi!
Does anyone have any recommendations for how often I should reboot the SAP system to clean up the memory and then performance?
I have a SAP 640 on Linux.

Hi Kjell

In general you don't need a regular reboot.
As a lot of used memory is some sort of cache, a cleaning has a negative impact on performance. There is one exception, if you have processes leaking memory, you could restart these as a workaround.
Nevertheless every system needs a reboot once in a while (especially after major changes), but that is to make sure, they still boot properly.
Best regards
Michael
