Structure Condition

When defining condition types, there is a field of "structure condition" in "Control data 1". Can anybody explain me briefly what it is.

Yasar,

In v/06 Structure condition filed is generally used only at the time of BOM scenario.

Blank field indicated that condition type is not relevent for cumulation of values of a BOM Nor its applicable to distribute values at item levels...

Structure condition:

The condition type used in BOM or configurable material then that can be indicated by structure condition.

Ex: “KUMU” – cumulation condition –“B”

“DUPL”—duplicate condition -- “A”

Duplicate conditions condition type “DUPL”

“DUPL” is copied during pricing to all of the sub-items assign to the main item.

It makes sure to use this condition type BOM items and configurable materials.

Ex: material has 10% condition type of “DUPL” and it has sub-items

Ex: material M1 and M2, during sale order processing, duplication condition of 10% is displayed in components M2 and M3

Pre-requisite:

In V/08 of condition type “DUPL”, value “A” should be maintained in structure condition field.

Constraints:

duplicate conditions can only be percentage rate conditions.

Duplicate conditions can’t be use as a header conditions

Duplicate conditions can’t be change manually.

This consulting note describes the restrictions that apply to customizing of structure conditions (cumulated conditions or conditions to be duplicated):

1. Conditions to be duplicated (field KDUPL = 'A' in Customizing of the corresponding condition type):

a) The only condition class allowed is 'surcharge or discount' (KOAID = 'A').

[For application 'M' (purchasing), 'Price' (KOAID = 'B') is allowed as well.]

b) No special characteristics are allowed for the condition category, that is, the condition type must be initial (KNTYP = ' ').

[For application 'M' (purchasing), 'Basic price' (KNTYP = 'H') is allowed as well.]

c) The only calculation type allowed is 'Percentage' (KRECH = 'A').

[For application 'M' (purchasing), 'Quantity' (KRECH = 'C') is allowed as well.]

d) The condition type must not be a header condition (KKOPF = ' ').

e) The condition type must not be a group condition (KGRPE = ' ' and GRLNR = ' ').

f) Manual changes to the condition value are not allowed (KAEND_WRT = ' ').

2. Cumulated conditions (field KDUPL = 'B' in customizing of the corresponding condition type):

a) No special characteristics are allowed for the condition category, that is, the condition type must be initial (KNTYP = ' ').

b) No access sequence must be defined for the condition type (KOZGF = ' ').

c) The only calculation type allowed is 'Formula' (KRECH = 'G').

d) The condition type must not be a header condition (KKOPF = ' ').

e) The condition type must be a group condition without group key routine (KGRPE = 'X' and GRLNR = ' ').

f) The manual processing of the condition type is not allowed (KMANU = 'D').

In document processing (for example, adding or deleting line items, changing the conditions of subitems and so on), note that the correct condition values for structure conditions are generally only displayed after carrying out a complete pricing (function module PRICING_COMPLETE) (for example, saving the document or going to the header condition screen).

You should also note that cumulated conditions that are intended to show the net value of an item plus the net values of its subitems only function correctly if these conditions are placed after the last relevant condition for the net value in the used pricing procedure.

Reason and Prerequisites

The listed restrictions are caused by the program design. The correctness of the settings made is checked in function module SD_COND_V_T685A_CHECK (Include LV15EU08). The system informs the user online on an incorrect entry by issuing a corresponding error message.
