XI 3.0 (NW2004 ) Aapter Problem

The problem we are having is the file adapter is showing up 'greyed out'

Suggestion is that a post config step was not executed, or executed improperly with the wrong file could be the problem

Post config step missed: “Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis” per the installation guide

This requires a .tpz file from SAP

Can anyone confirm if you believe this may be the problem, and the correct .tpz file and path at service.sap.com to get this file

Is this problem is with specific File Adapter of you can't see any Adapter Metadata Info. ?

Kindly clear...

If this is the issue with Adapter Metadata then the solution is : You will have to download SAP XI Basis content of your XI version and SP.

The adapters remain "greyed out" until data is passed to it. It then becomes active and turns red/yellow/green
