Hi all,
We have a 3 system landscape of XI . We have JDI configured in D system.
Currently we are using CMS transports from D to Q and file system transports from Q to P. We have planned to use CMS transports from Q to P also instead of file system transports.
In that process, when we selected a particular software component in the assembly tab, and selected assemble component, we noticed that all the software compoents assembly is running, which are present in the assembly queue.
Is there any procedure to stop the assembly for all the software components?
Thanks.
Hello There,
Assembling in CMS is always at a software component level. For the IR track CMS will allow you to assemble everything taht has been released for transport under the choosen software component,
This approach has a big gap in siutations where you have different development items in different stages and you want to go live with just one scenario. The solution would be to assemble as soon as the transports are released. This way the assemble step would always start from a clean state with no outstandings transports.
Hope the answer helps you!
Cheers,
Naveen

Hi,
Were you able to determine a solution for your issue? We are having the same problem. To those who have responded with information about how to transport individual objects to Production for the Integration Directory... This is NOT the problem. The problem is that in the assembly step for Integration Repository objects, there does NOT appear to be a way to do a subset assembly for individual objects or namespaces. Selecting Assemble Component(s) assembles the ENTIRE Software Component Version. There are a lot of details for doing a subset assembly for directory objects, but nothing for the repository. Since we have different interfaces at different stages in the testing approval process we need to be able to pick and choose the IR objects we want to go to production. Currently, we are using the file system to do this. This seems like a big deficiency, so hopefully somebody has figured out how to do this with CMS.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi,
When assembling directory objects, you must remember to select the 'Subset Assembly' checkbox. This way only the selected transports are transported and not the complete list.
