Syndication Problem

Hi All,

We are working on MDM 5.5 sp05.

We had imported the material data from R/3 and trying to syndicate it.

In syndicated XML file, all elements are not getting filled as per the records in MDM. We are using the standard maps for Material repository.

Hi,

Elements i nthe outgoing xml will be filled only if they are mapped to source items/ if they have static values defined in the item mapping tab.

Hi Anita,

When we apply standard mapping for syndication, those which mapped to the remote key of source are not filled in the XML.

but we are using standard maps. but if we unmapped the current one and assign to the code, it will work.is this is the correct way

Eg: in lookup table Material type, there are fields like name, code, Application.

So in standard map, the map is b/w the remote key of the source and the field in destination.

suppose we unmap this and map it to code, it will work.

is it the right way.......we are using standard map....

Hi Nikhil ,

We are facing asimilar issue with the remote keys, in our scenario we are using the customer repository. SAP had said that if the main remote key field value is mapped to any field in the destination, then the remote key values for the lookup's would also get transferred. This appears to be a known bug & will be fixed in SP06, however, in our scenario even though we did this mapping we still are not able to successully syndicate all our lookup remote key values :-)!

However, suggest you try this option, as otherwise you may not be able to syndicate with your map as it will go in to error .

Not sure what could be the exact problem with syndication . We were able to syndicate the remote key values from look up as well as main table .

Check the map the properties . Supress records w/o keys if checked , the records should have remote key value populated. Please check for the look up entries also. Remote key value populated with the Code.
